Compliance and Quality Assurance Lead

Overview

As Compliance and Quality Assurance Lead, you will oversee the compliance and inspection programme across City of London housing estates and lead a small team to maintain high service standards. You will lead inspections, ensure timely, accurate reporting, and drive improvements in safety, safeguarding, and housing management. You will work across estates to identify risks and coordinate corrective actions, partnering with colleagues to uphold safe, well-managed environments. This role offers scope to shape estate services through proactive leadership and rigorous quality assurance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the delivery of compliance and service standards inspections across all estates.
• Lead and supervise a two-person Compliance and Quality Assurance team; allocate work and provide coaching.
• Quality assure inspection reports before issue; ensure timeliness and accuracy.
• Conduct estate and block inspections; report on service standards, fire safety, hazards, ASB, and housing management.
• Produce clear reports; raise actions; monitor KPIs; identify emerging issues and coordinate corrective action.
• Refer safeguarding or resident welfare concerns to the appropriate team promptly.

Key requirements

• Substantial experience managing or supervising staff in social housing, local government or similar environments.
• Knowledge of estate services legislation and requirements, including health and safety, fire safety in communal areas and COSHH.
• Experience with risk management, risk assessments, and thorough estate inspections.
