Senior Risk Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead risk management activities within Arcadis’ Energy Networks & Renewables team, focusing on major projects and portfolios in transmission and distribution. You will embed best-practice risk processes, support commercial decision-making, and develop team capability across delivery teams. You’ll apply quantitative risk analysis to forecast cost and schedule exposure and influence governance and escalation of significant risks. Responsibilities

• Deliver risk management services aligned with client governance and project objectives
• Identify, assess, manage, review and report risks, issues and opportunities
• Produce periodic risk reports including risk expenditure, contingency drawdown and exposure changes
• Advise on mitigation, contingency, risk allocation and commercial implications
• Develop, validate and run Quantitative Risk Analysis (Cost, Schedule, and integrated analyses)
• Ensure significant risks are identified and managed to meet project objectives
• Deliver risk interventions and embedded risk management support for governance and escalation
• Coach and mentor junior team members and contribute to capability building
• Drive continuous improvement in risk management tools, processes and data quality

Key requirements

• Desire to work towards relevant professional certification (APM Risk Certificate, IRM Certificate/Diploma)
• Practical experience in project, programme or enterprise risk management
• Experience in regulated environments with a focus on Energy
• Strong analytical skills to build and interpret risk models and probabilistic outcomes
• Experience with Quantitative Risk Analysis techniques and tools (e.g., @Risk, Primavera Risk Analysis)
• Knowledge of enterprise risk management tools (Active Risk Manager, Predict!, Xactium)
• Understanding of construction contracts and risk management relationships with project controls and commercial management
• Evidence of delivering risk management plans within projects
