Site Manager

Overview

As Site Manager for planned works in social housing, you will lead day-to-day project delivery on occupied properties. You’ll coordinate trades, manage safety, quality, and budgets, and keep residents informed to minimise disruption. You’ll work within long-term social housing frameworks to deliver kitchens, bathrooms, external works, and Decent Homes upgrades. Your leadership will drive on-time, high-quality results in East London/Essex.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations across planned works projects
• Coordinate subcontractors, direct labour and suppliers to deliver programmes
• Ensure works are completed safely and per procedures
• Monitor quality standards and perform site inspections
• Deliver projects on time and within budget
• Maintain relationships with clients, residents and stakeholders
• Work with Resident Liaison Officers to minimise tenant disruption
• Complete site records, reports and progress updates
• Conduct toolbox talks and ensure health and safety compliance
• Resolve on-site issues to maintain programme delivery

Key requirements

• Experience as Site Manager for main contractor
• Strong knowledge of planned works in occupied social housing
• Experience managing kitchen/bathroom programmes, external works or Decent Homes projects
• Excellent leadership and organisational skills
• Strong health and safety knowledge
• Ability to manage subcontractors and site teams
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
• Full UK Driving Licence
