RF Communications Engineer

Overview

As an RF Communications Engineer, you will design and develop specialist communications hardware for secure and resilient systems in defence and aerospace. You’ll contribute across the full development cycle—from concept and architecture to circuit design, prototyping, integration and lab testing. You will work with antenna, signal processing, electronics and systems experts to deliver complete communications products. This role offers access to dedicated RF labs and an anechoic chamber, with scope for ownership and real-world deployment of diverse technologies.

Responsibilities

• design and develop specialist RF communications hardware
• drive full development lifecycle from concept to testing
• build and debug RF hardware and investigate performance issues
• collaborate with antenna, signal processing, electronics and systems specialists
• deliver complete communications products for defence/aerospace applications

Key requirements

• strong RF communications fundamentals
• hands-on experience developing, testing and debugging RF circuits or systems
• degree in electronics, electrical engineering or related subject
• practical hardware experience is prioritized
• experience with RF system simulation, antenna design or testing, and digital signal processing would be useful
