Overview
In this role you will act as the risk governance gatekeeper for energy projects, maintaining the risk register and ensuring timely risk reviews. You will support multiple work packages, guiding risk data quality and mitigation actions to protect cost, time, and quality objectives. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior risk managers to meet client objectives and deliver projects effectively. This role combines governance discipline with stakeholder engagement in a hybrid Aberdeen setting.

Responsibilities
- Gatekeep risk governance and maintain risk registers across projects of varying size
- Facilitate risk workshops with SMEs and tailor risk processes to client needs
- Identify, assess, and prioritise threats, opportunities and issues; drive mitigation actions
- Maintain visibility of trigger points for risk cost profiling and budget drawdown
- Produce timely risk reporting using PowerPoint/Excel and Power BI; utilize web-based tools
- Collaborate with project controls and supply chain to align risk information
Key requirements
- Professional risk management experience across the project lifecycle
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Conversant with risk software: Safran, @risk, PRA
- Strategic awareness and ability to adapt risk strategies to change
- Experience with risk governance and risk register management
- Experience within projects controls or related disciplines; renewables or oil & gas desirable
