Senior Site Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead delivery of construction projects on site, coordinating teams, subcontractors and stakeholders to meet programme, quality and budget goals. You will drive health and safety compliance, manage drawings and technical queries, and monitor short-term schedules to mitigate risks. You’ll mentor site teams and foster a high-performing culture while reporting on progress and coordinating resources. Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations and overall project delivery
• Lead site teams and subcontractors with clear communication and coordination
• Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and company procedures
• Interface with design, commercial and project teams on drawings, specs and technical queries
• Monitor programmes, produce short-term look-ahead schedules and identify risks or delays
• Maintain quality through inspections, defect management and completion processes
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity and project performance
• Support project reporting, resource planning and procurement
• Mentor and develop site teams to foster a positive, high-performing culture

Key requirements

• CITB SMSTS qualification
• Valid CSCS Card
• First Aid at Work certification
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Proven experience as Site Manager or Senior Site Manager in construction
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• Excellent understanding of construction programmes, site operations and health and safety requirements
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
