Senior Civil Engineer (4 day week)

Overview

In this role you will lead infrastructure design for a diverse portfolio, acting as the main contact for clients and the project team. You will drive production of designs for planning, detailed designs and construction of drainage, highways and SuDS across major developments. You’ll grow and own a multidisciplinary team of engineers, technicians and apprentices. This opportunity combines leadership, technical delivery and career development within a flexible 4-day week.

Responsibilities

• Act as main point of contact for clients and employees on infrastructure design
• Oversee production of engineering designs for planning, detailed designs and construction of drainage, highways and SuDS
• Lead building drainage for major infrastructure and mixed-use developments
• Grow and manage a team of engineers, technicians and apprentices
• Own and guide the direction of the team and project delivery

Key requirements

• Consultancy/private sector development background with experience on residential development
• Experience producing technical drawings for tender and construction across infrastructure projects
• Drainage strategies and flood risk assessment experience
• Software experience: Micro Drainage, Causeway Flow or Civils 3D or similar
