Overview
As a Risk Professional at Arcadis, you will lead risk and value management across major capital projects in infrastructure, transportation, and buildings. You will work within the One Arcadis team to embed risk processes, support governance, and deliver probabilistic insights to senior stakeholders. You’ll identify drivers of cost, schedule, and business risk while coaching peers and driving continuous improvement in risk tools and data quality. This role offers the opportunity to influence large-scale programmes and help Arcadis deliver sustainable outcomes for clients and communities.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver risk and value management activities across the project lifecycle
- Facilitate risk workshops, identify risk drivers, and maintain risk registers and action plans
- Develop, validate and run quantitative cost and schedule risk models to produce probabilistic forecasts
- Provide clear risk reporting and insight to stakeholders, including senior leadership and clients
- Advise project teams on mitigation, contingency, allocation of risk, and commercial implications
- Support governance and escalation of significant risks; ensure consistent application of risk frameworks and standards
- Coach and mentor junior team members (for senior roles) and contribute to capability building
- Drive continuous improvement in tools, processes and data quality for risk management
- Practical experience in project, programme or enterprise risk management
- Strong analytical skills with ability to build and interpret risk models and present probabilistic outcomes
- Experience facilitating workshops and engaging stakeholders across technical and commercial functions
- Good commercial awareness and understanding of contract/forecasting implications of risk
- Proficiency with ARM, Safran, @Risk or alternative risk/scheduling tools; capability to learn proprietary tools
