Overview
In this role, you will lead the development of wastewater models and guide project delivery within Arcadis’ Water Management team. You’ll engage with water utilities to expand client portfolios, address flood risk, CSO spill reduction, and network resilience under regulatory frameworks. You will mentor colleagues, manage multi-disciplinary inputs, and ensure technical outputs meet client expectations and standards. This is a leadership position at the forefront of UK AMP8 projects, offering meaningful impact through collaborative problem-solving and innovative solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of wastewater modelling projects and manage tasks across scales
- Review and verify sewer network models, survey specs, and deliverables
- Develop strategic flood mitigation solutions and reduce CSO spills
- Support designers at concept and detailed design stages
- Produce high-quality reports and presentations; ensure standards compliance
- Resolve modelling challenges; contribute to team technical growth
- Coordinate project elements, resource allocation, QA, and subcontractor interactions
- Guide junior team members and foster a collaborative environment
- Assist with bids, including narratives, cost estimates, and programmes
- Engage with clients to explain model outputs and progress to plan
- Collaborate with project directors and other disciplines to maintain project integrity
- Promote professional development and mentoring within the team
- Foster proactive client engagement to secure ongoing opportunities
- Advanced expertise in hydraulic modelling for wastewater projects
- Team and stakeholder coordination experience
- Proficiency in InfoWorks ICM
- HADES knowledge preferred
- Competence in GIS software packages
- Chartered member of ICE or CIWEM
- Experience with model QA procedures
- Strong report-writing and data analysis skills
- Desirable coding experience
