This is an exciting opportunity to join the Faculty of Science and Engineering Professional Services team supporting students and staff throughout the student journey.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Administrator to work in the faculty office to deliver an efficient and effective service to both students and academic staff across the faculty. This is a diverse role which will include providing front line information and reception duties, document formatting, arranging travel bookings, and organising, attending and minuting of meetings.

For this role, you will be required to be on site 3 days a week. Although we can accomodate working from home, flexibility to be on site will be required due to business needs.

This is a part-time position working 30 hours per week on a fixed-term basis until 31st March 2027, with the possibility to extend.

This position is not open to current students.

What we’re looking for

You will:

  • Be a flexible, self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Be able to apply a pragmaitc approach to finding solutions, as well as initiative and ability to learn new procedures and processes and apply them consistently.
  • Have proven experience of working in a dynamic customer service environment.
  • Have strong numeracy, literacy and IT skills with advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
