Paralegal – Legal Transactions Team

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Paralegal with a background in private practice and/ in-house commercial property environments to join a highly regarded Legal Transactions team.

This role offers exposure to a broad range of property matters within a fast-paced and collaborative legal function, making it ideal for a commercially minded property paralegal looking to take the next step in their career.

The Role

You will manage a varied caseload of property transactions from instruction through to completion, working closely with internal stakeholders, external solicitors, leaseholders, local authorities and other third parties.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a portfolio of non-contentious property matters from inception through to completion
  • Drafting and negotiating lease extensions, new leases, transfers, easements, licences and other property-related documentation
  • Handling Land Registry applications, title investigations, adverse possession matters and unregistered land issues
  • Reviewing and interpreting leases, deeds, title documents and complex ownership structures
  • Undertaking legal due diligence on acquisitions and property transactions
  • Assisting with property-related projects and legal research
  • Responding to legal queries from internal stakeholders and providing practical commercial advice
  • Supporting the continuous improvement of processes and procedures within the Legal Transactions team
  • Assisting with the supervision and development of junior team members where appropriate

About You

To be successful, you will have:

  • A Law degree or equivalent legal qualification
  • Previous experience within commercial property gained in private practice and or an in-house legal team
  • Strong understanding of conveyancing procedures and property law principles
  • Experience drafting a range of property documents and legal correspondence
  • Excellent title review and due diligence skills
  • Experience dealing with Land Registry matters and property transactions from start to finish
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A proactive and commercially focused mindset

  • Easements, rights of way and title defect resolution
  • Working within the property management, real estate or investment sectors
