You will teach Geography across KS3 and KS4, covering a combination of physical and human Geography. Students will be encouraged to develop their knowledge while learning how to interpret geographical information and apply concepts to real-world situations.
At KS3, you will cover topics such as ecosystems, rivers, population, development and urban environments. At GCSE, you will prepare students for the relevant examination specification, including case studies, geographical skills and fieldwork.
The successful candidate will use maps, data, images, case studies and discussion to make lessons meaningful. You will also assess student work regularly and provide detailed feedback to help students improve their understanding and written responses.

- Understanding of fieldwork
- Confidence using maps and geographical data
- Effective classroom management
- Strong planning and assessment skills
- Ability to engage students with different abilities
The salary for this Geography Teacher position will be paid to scale on MPS/UPS, depending on experience and qualifications.
