- Job Title: Cyber Security Engineer
- Salary: £50,000-£65,000 – open to discussions based on experience
- Location: Belfast
- Contract: Permanent, full-time
- Work Pattern: Monday-Friday, standard operational hours (hybrid working)
We’re working with an established organisation in Belfast that is continuing to invest in its Cyber Security function and is looking to appoint an experienced Cyber Security Engineer.
This is an opportunity to join a growing security team where you’ll have the opportunity to work across security operations, threat detection, vulnerability management, cloud security and security engineering, while contributing to the development of the organisation’s wider security posture.
What You’ll be Doing
- Monitor, investigate and respond to security alerts, incidents and potential threats across the organisation.
- Manage and improve security technologies including SIEM, EDR, Microsoft Defender and vulnerability management platforms.
- Identify vulnerabilities and work with infrastructure/network teams to implement appropriate remediation.
- Support the security of Microsoft 365, Azure, endpoints and network infrastructure.
- Contribute to wider cyber security projects, policies, risk assessments and continuous improvement initiatives.
Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (BSc/BEng) in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computing or a related field of study
- 3+ years’ experience in Cyber Security, Security Engineering, SOC or a similar technical security role.
- Hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR, vulnerability management and security monitoring technologies.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Security, Azure/M365, networking and identity security.
