Maintenance Engineer (36 hour week)
Our client is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join its high volume manufacturing operation and help maintain facilities and equipment to the highest standards of safety, efficiency and reliability. The successful candidate will enjoy a varied role covering planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, equipment improvements and collaboration with production and quality teams.
Based onsite in Belfast, this is a permanent position working a structured four week rotating pattern of 12 hour day and night shifts. The rota averages 36 hours per week across the year and is planned well in advance, offering regular extended breaks including a 7 day and a 4/5 day break per month with minimal weekend working required.

The Role:
* Carry out planned maintenance and breakdown activities across the manufacturing facility.* Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults and support root cause analysis.* Develop standard operating procedures and train key stakeholders.* Source and order spare parts to minimise equipment downtime.* Supervise contractors and maintain health and safety compliance.* Record breakdowns through the Computerised Maintenance Management System.* Provide callout support and effective handovers to maintain equipment reliability.
The Person:
* Time served apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.* Post qualification mechanical and electrical experience in a high volume manufacturing environment.* Experience with electrical and mechanical fault finding and problem solving.* Ability to read and understand drawings.* Flexibility to work rotating 12 hour shifts and travel to multi site locations.
