You’ll have the autonomy to strengthen processes, develop the team and make sure finance is ready to support future growth.How you’ll make an impactLead the month-end and year-end close across multiple entitiesOwn group reporting and the preparation of consolidated financial statementsStrengthen balance sheet controls, reconciliations and financial governanceManage statutory reporting, tax compliance and the external audit processOversee transactional finance, including AP, AR, banking and payroll interfacesImprove cash management, cash flow reporting and treasury processesPartner with FP&A to connect actual performance with budgets and forecastsProvide technical accounting guidance to finance and senior stakeholdersDevelop financial systems, controls and reporting as the organisation growsIdentify opportunities to automate and streamline finance processesLead, coach and develop the finance team, creating clear ownership and accountabilityWhy you’re a great fitQualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)Strong technical accounting and consolidated reporting experienceConfident managing month-end, year-end and statutory reportingExperience leading external audits and maintaining strong financial controlsComfortable operating within a multi-entity or growing organisationGood understanding of cash management and treasuryExperience improving finance systems, processes and controlsStrong leadership skills with experience developing finance teamsWhat you’ll get in returnAs Group Financial Controller, you’ll have the opportunity to shape a growing finance function while working closely with senior leadership.£80,000-£85,000 salaryHybrid working1 day per week in the Exeter office1 day every fortnight in the Truro office25 days annual leave, increasing to 30 days after five years, plus bank holidaysEmployer pension contributionPrivate healthcare after one yearEmployee Assistance Programme for you and your immediate familyElectric vehicle salary sacrifice schemeProfessional development and training opportunitiesSignificant scope to improve systems, processes and financial controlsWe welcome applications from all qualified candidates who believe they meet the role requirements.
