The Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Site Manager to join a specialist school in Swiss Cottage. Working under the direction of the Senior Site Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the school site remains safe, secure, compliant and well maintained at all times.
The successful candidate will support the day-to-day management of the premises, supervise the caretaking and cleaning teams, coordinate maintenance activities and assist in delivering high standards of facilities management across the school estate.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Manager, Premises Manager, Senior Caretaker or Facilities professional looking to secure a permanent role within a supportive educational environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesSite & Facilities Management
- Support the Senior Site Manager in the day-to-day operation of the school estate.
- Ensure buildings, grounds and external areas are maintained to a high standard.
- Carry out regular site inspections and identify maintenance requirements.
- Monitor site security and act as a keyholder when required.
- Assist in coordinating planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmes.
- Undertake or arrange reactive repairs and maintenance.
Team Supervision
- Supervise the school’s caretaking and cleaning teams on a daily basis.
- Allocate tasks and monitor performance standards.
- Ensure all cleaning activities are completed to the required standards.
- Support the induction and training of new site and cleaning staff.

Health & Safety & Compliance
- Assist the Senior Site Manager in maintaining statutory compliance.
- Carry out routine health and safety inspections
