We are looking for a reliable, motivated and customer-focused Food Retail Store Supervisor to support the day-to-day operation of our store. You will play an important role in ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining high food safety and hygiene standards, supporting the store team and helping the store achieve its sales and operational targets.
The ideal candidate will be confident leading a team, organised, hands-on and able to work effectively in a busy food retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support store colleagues during daily operations.
- Deliver excellent customer service and respond professionally to customer queries or complaints.
- Support the Retail Manager in achieving sales, service and operational targets.
- Assist with staff training, shift allocation and day-to-day performance.
- Ensure food safety, hygiene, cleanliness and health and safety standards are consistently maintained.
- Monitor food storage, temperature controls, product rotation and stock handling.
- Support stock ordering, deliveries, stock checks and inventory control.
- Monitor product availability, presentation while minimising wastage and shrinkage.
- Ensure the store is clean, well organised and presented to a high standard.
- Follow company procedures relating to cash handling, opening and closing, security and loss prevention.
- Deal appropriately with operational issues and escalate significant concerns to the Retail Manager.
- Ensure that store operations comply with company policies and procedures, including health and safety standards.
- Support promotional activity, merchandising and other initiatives to maximise sales.

Work with the Retail Manager to implement in-store promotions and marketing initiatives in coordination with the marketing team.
