Children's Supervisor – Specifically to provide supervision of children on the school premises, including the playground, during break periods and additionally to provide auxiliary support.

Lunchtime Auxiliary – To provide supervision of children remaining on school premises during the lunch period.

Children's Supervisor

- Supervision of pupils on the school premises during the mid-morning and lunchtime breaks.
- Such other duties as determined by the Head Teacher

Lunchtime Auxiliary
n
- n
- Supervision of pupils on the school premises during the lunchtime interval in particular within the school dining area.
- General supervision within the time available as required which may include playground supervision.
- Such other duties as determined by the Head Teacher.

The Individualn
Children's Supervisor
n
- n
- Previous experience/working with children of Primary School age.
- Experience in communicating with children and other adults.
- Experience of keeping order, discipline.
- Experience of keeping calm in a crisis.
- Enjoy working with children.
- Good communication skills.
- Pleasant Manner (Warm but firm).
- Ability to use initiative in day to day tasks.
- Flexible and adaptable.

Lunchtime Auxiliary
n
- n
- Knowledge of and experience with children of school age.
- Ability to get on well with young children.
- Ability to communicate effectively with children and staff.
- Able to engage and interact with children
- Friendly but firm.
- Genuinely interested in children.
- Willing to work as a team and on own initiative.
- Be available between approximately 12.00pm – 1.30pm each day.
- Able to work outdoors in all weather.

This post is considered to be a ‘Regulated Role’ under the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020. Under the Act it is a legal requirement for an individual undertaking a regulated role with children or protected adults to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme.
n
Therefore the successful candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check prior to any formal offer of employment being made by Moray Council.
n
Applicants should note these are two separate positions, but we are looking for one person to fill both roles.

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday
