Technical Manager – Audio

Overview

As Technical Manager for Audio Products, you lead technical support and design input across production, sales, and installations. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet customer needs, production feasibility, and cost targets. Your expertise in audio electronics and test methods will drive robust product development and reliable performance. The role offers exposure to telecom and audio systems, with opportunities to shape product direction and engage with suppliers. You will communicate complex concepts clearly and uphold high standards under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide valuable technical support across production, sales, and installations
• Review and interpret Statements of Work (SoW) and ensure capabilities align with design goals
• Contribute design input considering production time, feasibility, and cost
• Engage with suppliers and visit client sites as needed
• Read and interpret electronic schematics and documentation to support product development
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners

Key requirements

• Electronics manufacture background with hands-on experience
• Understanding of electronic circuits and components, including 0402 SMD
• Audio design knowledge (amps, gain circuits) and audio fundamentals (FFT, DSP, AGC, dB)
• Circuit design understanding and ability to read SoW documents
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft OS and proficient in operating PCs
• Excellent oral and written communications; time management under pressure
