Overview

Join AECOM’s Infrastructure Project Management team to deliver flood risk and asset management projects for the Environment Agency under CPS2. You will support and lead project delivery across lifecycle—from inception to site commissioning—working with cross-functional teams to manage scope, risk, and stakeholders. This role offers exposure to NEC contract administration and client-side delivery at scale, with a focus on safe, efficient project outcomes that protect communities. You’ll contribute to innovative solutions and CSR-driven initiatives in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead or contribute to capital investment projects across the full lifecycle
  • Provide client-side project management support from option studies through to tender documentation and site delivery
  • Prepare and manage progress reports, procurement strategies, and post-contract administration
  • Engage with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to deliver within agreed parameters and resolve disputes when possible
  • Manage project team resources, timescales, and quality standards
  • Develop strong client and cross-functional relationships and support business development
  • Provide contract management support on NEC4 contracts and advise on procurement strategies
  • Mentor Graduates and Apprentices

Key requirements

  • Infrastructure project management experience in the water sector
  • Knowledge of NEC contracts (PSC and ECC) and ideally NEC ECC accreditation
  • Experience in integrated, multi-organisation teams
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Relationship-building with clients, teams, and stakeholders
  • Ability to work autonomously and with Senior Project Managers/Associates
  • Team-oriented, proactive, adaptable, and diplomatic
  • Excellent IT, numeracy, and written/verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to support CSR and contribute to a positive workplace
