This is a fully remote position, open to candidates based in United Kingdom.

We are engaging Military Operations & Reporting SMEs to collaborate on a customer’s project, leveraging deep subject matter expertise in military operations, staff processes, and recurring reporting. In this role, you’ll apply your real-world DoD experience to help train next-generation AI systems. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters.

Scope of Work

1. Review and evaluate military and DoD reporting content for accuracy, clarity, and alignment with real-world procedures.
2. Apply firsthand experience gathering information from multiple teams or staff sections and turning it into reports and executive updates for senior leadership.
3. Provide high-quality written feedback on AI-generated reporting materials.
4. Assess AI outputs for appropriate military terminology, reporting standards, and information synthesis.
5. Develop and refine realistic reporting examples and scenarios for AI training.

Preferred Qualifications

1. 3+ years of experience within the U.S. Department of Defense as a uniformed service member, DoD civilian, or both.
2. Experience personally preparing recurring reports or executive updates for senior military or DoD leadership.
3. Experience with reports such as Weekly Activity Reports (WARs), Project/Program Status Reports, Performance/Accomplishment Reports, After-Action Reports (AARs), or Budget Execution Reports.
4. Background in military operations, plans, headquarters/command staff, program management, executive support, or resource management.
5. Strong written communication skills and experience synthesizing inputs from multiple teams into clear, concise reporting.
6. Experience as an Operations Officer/NCO, Plans Officer, Action Officer, Staff Officer, Executive Officer, or similar headquarters role is a plus.
