Senior Fullstack Java Developer

Overview

In this role you lead the technical execution for a fintech-focused product, driving fast iterative development in an Agile environment. You work across iOS, Android and web platforms to deliver a high-performance app. You will coordinate design, coding and deployment, collaborating with partners and cross-functional teams. This is a hands-on leadership position with a strong emphasis on code quality, architecture, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical arm of the team in fast iteration cycles and tight deadlines using agile/scrum
• Coordinate coding, development and documentation across the full project life cycle
• Participate in architecture discussions with external finance-sector partners
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust software
• Drive best practices and continuous improvement to products, processes and tools
• Identify bottlenecks, fix production bugs and support post-launch operations
• Liaise with product development to plan new features and explore new mobile products

Key requirements

• 5 to 7 years of native mobile and web app development experience
• Proficiency in React, Swift or Objective C, Java; Rails, Node.js and Angular for web
• Demonstrable portfolio of released web and mobile apps
• Experience with multi-threaded client software and client-server architecture
• Familiarity with SDLC and Agile methodologies
• Development tools (Xcode, Android Studio, Eclipse) and source control tools (Git, Stash)
• Knowledge of FIX Protocol is a plus
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
