Personal Injury Lawyer – Exeter – 3-5 Years PQE

Overview

In this role you will join a growing regional law firm in Exeter as a Personal Injury Lawyer with 3–5 years PQE to manage a varied PI caseload within the Litigation Department. You will handle MOJ Portal, Fast Track, and Intermediate Track matters, with opportunities to assist on larger Multi Track cases and contribute to clinical negligence work. The position offers hybrid working, cross-office collaboration, and dedicated involvement in marketing and BD to grow the PI practice. You will work closely with senior colleagues, support business development, and help expand the team’s impact and reach.

Responsibilities

• Manage MOJ Portal and Fast Track cases
• Handle Intermediate Track matters with minimal supervision
• Assist a partner on larger Multi Track matters
• Support on clinical negligence cases (desirable but not essential)
• Travel to other offices to meet clients
• Contribute to marketing and business development initiatives
• Develop new sources of personal injury work and follow through on ideas

Key requirements

• 3–5 years PQE in personal injury
• Solicitor or CILEX with full litigation practising rights
• Ability to manage own caseload confidently and independently
• Willingness to learn additional areas of litigation
• Strong communication, organisational and client care skills
• Proactive approach to business development
• BD track record or client following is advantageous
