Software Engineer II – AIML Experimentation and Governance

Overview

As a Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase in AMDP, you contribute to designing, building, and stabilizing secure software components for enterprise technology products. You work within an agile team to deliver production-quality code and support system reliability at scale. You’ll leverage SDLC tools and AI-assisted development to boost quality and speed, while continually learning to advance within the role. Responsibilities

• Execute standard software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting
• Write secure, high-quality code in at least one language with limited guidance
• Design, develop, and troubleshoot with consideration for upstream/downstream systems
• Improve automation value using SDLC toolchain
• Develop secure production code and perform code reviews
• Analyze large data sets to inform secure, stable application development
• Learn and apply system processes for secure, stable code and systems
• Contribute to an inclusive team culture
• Leverage enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools to improve quality, speed, and productivity with peer review and secure coding standards
• Apply SDLC tools and AI-assisted development to enhance automation

Key requirements

• Production-oriented software engineering experience
• Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Experience coding in one or more modern languages and database querying languages in a large corporate environment
• Experience across the Software Development Life Cycle
• Exposure to agile methodologies including CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
• Emerging knowledge of software applications and technical processes (cloud, AI/ML, mobile, etc.)
• Experience with coding assistants and development harnesses to streamline software delivery
• Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools with ability to evaluate AI outputs
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, security, and resiliency requirements
