Associate – Projects & Construction Disputes

Overview

In this role you will advise on complex construction projects for a broad client base, including contractors, developers, and public bodies. You’ll work within a collaborative national team that handles landmark schemes, dispute resolution, and risk management, with opportunities to engage in international matters. You’ll contribute to client relationships, marketing initiatives, and the firm’s responsible business and ED&I efforts. This role offers a path to develop expertise in a leading construction practice with cross-disciplinary support.

Responsibilities

• Advise on complex construction projects for regional and national contractors and developers, and public sector clients
• Manage dispute resolution, including adjudication, mediation, and litigation
• Support dispute avoidance, risk management, and contract interpretation
• Work on domestic projects with potential involvement in international matters
• Build and maintain client relationships and participate in marketing initiatives
• Contribute to broader firm life, including responsible business, social impact, and ED&I initiatives

Key requirements

• Qualified solicitor with 2 years experience in contentious construction
