As a Multi-Skilled Carpenter, you'll deliver responsive repairs that make a real difference to our customers every day. Using your trade skills to maintain and improve our homes, you'll help provide safe, secure and well-maintained places for our customers to live.
This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same. You'll carry out high-quality carpentry repairs alongside a range of multi-trade tasks, taking pride in achieving first-time fixes and delivering an excellent customer experience.
We're committed to helping our people develop and grow. Successful candidates will join at Level 2 with a salary of £37,340 per annum. Through our skills-based grading framework, there may be opportunities to progress to Level 3 (£40,170 per annum), subject to business need and achieving the required competencies and performance standards.
About the role As a Multi-Skilled Carpenter, you'll play a key role in delivering a responsive repairs service across our housing stock. Using your carpentry expertise and wider trade skills, you'll carry out repairs and maintenance in customers' homes, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
You'll take pride in achieving first-time fixes, providing excellent customer service, and helping to keep our homes safe, secure and well maintained. Working independently and as part of a wider team, you'll manage a varied workload while building positive relationships with customers and colleagues.

Customer Driven You put customers first, taking pride in delivering a responsive, reliable service. You understand the importance of completing repairs to a high standard, achieving first-time fixes wherever possible, and treating customers' homes with care and respect.
Accountability You take ownership of your work, managing your workload effectively and delivering repairs safely, efficiently and in line with agreed standards. You can work independently, meet deadlines and consistently deliver quality outcomes.
Develop & Learn You are committed to maintaining and developing your trade skills, keeping up to date with industry best practice, health and safety requirements, and new ways of working that improve service delivery.
Champion Communication You build positive working relationships with customers, colleagues and contractors. Whether explaining a repair, updating a customer or working alongside other operatives, you communicate clearly, professionally and with a focus on delivering the best possible service.
You'll bring: *NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry & Joinery (or equivalent) or extensive practical experience in carpentry and joinery, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality work in domestic or commercial settings. *Proven experience in a carpentry and joinery role (e.g. in domestic repairs, maintenance, or housing). *Ability to follow job specs and complete tasks with minimal supervision. *Good communication and interpersonal skills. *Knowledge of Health & Safety and safe practices. *Participation in an out-of-hours rota will be required. *Full UK Driving licence. *A commitment to creating an inclusive environment where colleagues and customers are treated with fairness, dignity and respect.

Working hours Your normal working hours will be 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday, with a one-hour unpaid lunch break.
