Mechanical Fitter / TechnicianMilton KeynesElectron-X are looking for a reliable Mechanical Fitter with suitable qualifications, hands-on engineering experience and in-depth understanding of mechanical production processes and electro-mechanical equipment.This is an exciting role within a talented team, with plenty of opportunity for personal and career development.You must be highly motivated and keen to develop your skills and experience on a wide range of industrial x-ray equipment.Mechanical Fitter / Technician – The role will involve:Assembly of composite lead-ply panels for x-ray shieldingCutting, shaping, fitting parts and assembliesPreparation, painting, packing parts and assembliesInstallation of steel framework, composite panels, doors and parts for the x-ray roomManaging stocks of spare parts and equipmentMechanical Fitter / Technician – You should have:An engineering qualification – C&G, BTEC Level 3, NVQ, etcExperience of using hand and power tools and workshop machineryAbility to understand engineering drawingsGood understanding of general health and safety.Good communication skillsAbility to learn fast and a willingness to take on new skills and responsibilitiesFull clean driving licenseIPAF, CSCS or equivalent site passes preferred (but not essential)Electron-X designs, constructs and installs industrial x-ray facilities, including x-ray rooms and x-ray cabinets. Specific experience in the x-ray sector is not required (training will be provided), but previous engineering or technological background is essential.The role is based at our office in Milton Keynes, with some sitework.
