General Manager

As General Manager in this established 3PL you’ll oversee the day-to-day operations of a transport and distribution business in Stoke-On-Trent. Your role will focus on ensuring smooth, efficient operations and delivering high standards of service.

Description

As the General Manager you will,

• Lead and manage daily operations across both transport and warehousing with the support of your management team
• Review the current structure to ensure the operation is optimised against service, cost, and engagement criteria
• Support the adoption of new TMS and WMS systems, and ensure the user and customer experience is positive
• Review and actively manage budgets against contract performance ensuring visable reports / dashboards are available to share with the leadership team
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and health and safety standards.
• Support stakeholders to help the business growth through contract wins and retentionProfile

The successful General Manager should have:

• Proven experience managing a busy transport and warehouse operation
• Effective leadership and decision‑making skills, building engagement and performance
• Strong financial acumen (P&L management)
• Proven with systems (TMS & WMS) and data use
• CPC (Essential)

Job Offer

• Circa £80,000 base + Company car allowance + package
