Risk Manager

Overview

As a Risk Professional in Arcadis’ Energy Networks & Renewables team, you lead risk management across major renewable projects and portfolios. You’ll embed best-practice risk processes within delivery teams and support commercial decision-making. The role balances technical risk analysis with consultancy across projects, programmes, and client accounts. You’ll work with cross‑functional teams to improve risk governance while developing team capability and contributing to growth. This role offers meaningful impact in shaping reliable, cost-aware energy infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Deliver risk management services aligned with client governance and objectives
• Identify, assess, manage, review and report risks, issues and opportunities
• Produce periodic risk reports including risk expenditure and contingency status
• Advise teams on mitigation strategies and commercial implications
• Develop and run quantitative risk analyses (Cost, Schedule, integrated) to forecast risk exposure
• Ensure identification and management of significant risks to project objectives
• Deliver risk interventions and embed risk management practices across projects
• Coach/mentor junior team members and support capability building
• Drive continuous improvement in risk tools, processes and data quality

Key requirements

• Desire to work towards professional certification (APM Risk, IRM)
• Practical experience in project/programme/enterprise risk management
• Experience in regulated environments with focus on Energy
• Strong analytical skills for risk modelling and probabilistic outcomes
• Experience with QRA techniques and tools (e.g., @Risk, Primavera Risk Analysis, Safran)
• Knowledge of Enterprise Risk Management tools (ARM, Predict!, Xactium)
• Understanding of construction contracts and risk-related processes
• Clear written and verbal communication; ability to present complex information simply
• Evidence of delivering risk management plans within projects
