Description
Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and efficient Material Handler. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the logistics and warehouse operations, ensuring that materials are handled safely and efficiently. This position requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to perform heavy lifting, and familiarity with warehouse management systems.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload materials, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Assist in shipping and receiving processes, verifying the accuracy of shipments against documentation.
- Operate forklifts (Counterbalance – B1 ) and other material handling equipment safely and effectively.
- Prepare materials for storage or shipment as required.Maintain an organised warehouse environment, ensuring that all materials are stored correctly.
- Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure stock levels are accurate.
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all staff members.
- Collaborate with team members to improve efficiency in material handling processes.
Experience
- Previous experience in shipping and receiving roles is highly desirable.
- Experience operating forklifts or similar machinery is a must – Counterbalance Licences
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is advantageous.
- Proven ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely
Shifts – 2 Shifts patterns available:
– Days only – Mon – Thurs 0800 – 1700 & Friday 0800 – 1430
– Days & Lates – Mon – Fri 0530 – 1430 / / Mon – Fri 1430 – 2230
