Night Class 1 Driver: Palletised Multi-Drop

Location: Heysham

Pay: £19.61 (holidays incl) per hour, paid weekly

About the Role

We’re looking for a reliable Class 1 (C+E) driver to join our Client’s night operation delivering palletised freight on multi-drop routes. You’ll load, deliver and return safely and on time, representing the company professionally at every drop.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely deliver palletised goods to multiple customer sites on scheduled night routes
• Carry out daily walk-round vehicle checks and report any defects promptlyLoad and secure freight correctly, checking pallets against delivery paperwork
• Obtain accurate proof of delivery (POD) and report any damages, shortages or delivery issues
• Complete all paperwork accurately
• Comply with drivers’ hours regulations, tachograph rules and the Working Time Directive
• Keep your vehicle clean, tidy and roadworthy
• Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies

Requirements

• Full UK Category C+E (Class 1) licence
• Minimum 1 year of Class 1 driving experience
• Valid Driver CPC card
• Valid digital tachograph card
• Previous multi-drop or palletised delivery experience is preferred
• Good knowledge of drivers’ hours and tachograph regulations
• Ability to manage your time and work independently on night shifts
• Professional attitude and good communication skills
