Overview

In this role you will turn complex datasets into actionable financial insights to support financing decisions. You will work closely with Finance, Treasury, IT and Capital Markets to improve models, automate processes, and stress-test scenarios. You will combine advanced Excel, coding, and AI approaches to drive smarter business decisions in a fast-paced, hybrid environment. Responsibilities

  • Clean, collate, and manipulate large, non-conventional datasets from multiple sources to produce reliable MI
  • Provide actionable insights and reporting for the Finance team and the wider business
  • Take ownership of the inputs and assumptions required to roll financial models forward
  • Test model outputs, analyse trends to identify areas for improvement, and implement proposed changes
  • Run stress scenarios and analyse the commercial and financial impacts of various outcomes
  • Champion a culture of improving existing finance processes through automation and enhanced reliability
  • Actively research and stay up-to-date with the latest financial modelling techniques, advanced Excel features, and practical AI implementations

Key requirements

  • Previous experience within Financial Services (ideally banking, property lending, or similar environments)
  • Previous analytical experience within treasury / finance operations
  • Highly numerate with strong logical problem-solving
  • Hands-on experience with large, complex datasets
  • Advanced MS Excel: VBA, macros, process automation
  • Data manipulation: extracting, transforming, loading from varied sources
  • Experience using SQL, Python or Power Query would be beneficial
  • Commercial acumen and ability to interpret financial and non-financial impacts
  • Excellent communication skills with senior stakeholders
  • Adaptability in a dynamic business environment
  • Time management and ability to meet deadlines
