Residential Conveyancer – Plymouth

Overview

As a senior member of the Property team, you will manage a full residential conveyancing caseload from instruction to completion and provide technical guidance to colleagues. You’ll support the Head of Department, contribute to service excellence, and help grow the department through mentoring and business development. You will handle a variety of transactions (including sales, purchases, remortgages, and shared ownership) and build strong client and professional relationships. Responsibilities

• Manage a full residential conveyancing caseload from instruction to post-completion
• Handle a broad range of transactions: freehold/leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, new build, shared ownership
• Provide clear, practical legal advice to clients throughout the conveyancing process
• Build strong relationships with clients, agents, lenders, brokers, developers, and professionals
• Support supervision, coaching, and development of junior team members
• Contribute to business development and strengthen networks and referral relationships

Key requirements

• Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or Chartered Legal Executive with Advanced Practice Rights
• Minimum 5 years PQE or equivalent residential conveyancing experience
• Proven ability to independently manage a busy residential property caseload
• Strong technical knowledge across conveyancing transactions
• Excellent communication and client relationship management skills
• Strong organisational and time management abilities
• High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
