Child Clinical Associate in Psychology

Overview

In this role you work within the Bexley CAMHS Blossom Team to deliver psychological assessments, formulations and interventions for children and young people with complex mental health needs. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team under supervision of a HCPC-registered clinical psychologist, contributing to care plans and maintaining your own caseload. This position offers autonomous daily practice within service policies and a strong focus on outcomes for families. It’s an opportunity to shape child mental health care within a leading NHS trust.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychological assessments, formulations and interventions for children and young people with complex mental health problems
• Work under supervision of a qualified clinical psychologist with clinical responsibility retained
• Operate independently daily within agreed care plans and service policies
• Contribute to duty and triage rotas and manage own caseload of treatment and care coordination cases

Key requirements

• Honours degree in Psychology (2.2 or better)
• English and maths at level 2 or above
• Eligibility for Graduate Basis for Chartered membership of the BPS
• Completed or on track to complete BPS-accredited Child CAP apprenticeship training
• UK professional registration (or eligibility)
