Consultant Anaesthetist: NHS Elective Surgery Hub

Overview

In this role you will provide expert anaesthetic care for NHS patients at the One Health Elective Surgery Hub North Lincolnshire. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to optimise perioperative care, support recovery, and contribute to service development and clinical governance. The position offers a full-time, NHS-scale salary and a pathway to ongoing professional development within a dedicated elective surgery environment. Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality anaesthetic care for elective surgical patients
• Undertake pre-operative assessment, optimisation and perioperative management
• Support post-operative recovery and pain management
• Collaborate with surgeons and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective patient care
• Maintain accurate clinical records and comply with governance requirements
• Contribute to service development, audit and quality improvement
• Support appraisal, revalidation and a culture of clinical excellence

Key requirements

• Full GMC registration
• Specialist Register status in Anaesthesia
• 12 months+ experience as a substantive or locum NHS Consultant
• Proven experience providing anaesthetic services within NHS or independent practice
• Excellent clinical, communication and team-working skills
