Operational Technology (OT) Cyber Security Architect

Overview

As OT Cyber Security Architect, you will design and deliver security architectures for complex operational environments, translating cyber risk into practical protections. You will collaborate with senior stakeholders, engineering teams, and regulators to balance resilience, safety, and efficiency. Responsibilities

• Design secure OT environments aligned with best practices and standards (IEC 62443, NIS/NIS2)
• Translate cyber risk assessments into target-state architectures, control designs and implementation roadmaps
• Define secure IT-OT integration patterns (segmentation, access control, monitoring, resilience)
• Lead OT security transformation workstreams (secure remote access, vulnerability management, protective monitoring)
• Advise CISOs, CIOs and engineering teams on OT risk, regulatory obligations and investment priorities
• Support technology selection and optimization to minimize operational disruption
• Collaborate across cross-functional teams to solve complex client problems and develop reusable tools and playbooks

Key requirements

• Strong experience designing OT security architectures in critical infrastructure or similarly complex environments
• Deep understanding of ICS, SCADA, OT networks and safety-critical constraints
• Experience with IEC 62443, NIST CSF, ISO 27001, NIS/NIS2 or related standards
• Ability to translate cyber risk into architectural decisions, roadmaps and stakeholder recommendations
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking; effective communicator to technical and non-technical audiences
• UK security clearance or residency requirements may apply for some roles
• Knowledge of secure remote access, monitoring, and resilience concepts
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders
