Overview

In this role you lead the design and delivery of scalable data pipelines and analytics products that power operational insight across ND&I. You will manage a high-performing team, align data work with architectural standards, and drive reliable data assets for timely decision-making. The role sits at the intersection of engineering, analytics and business priorities in a dynamic, telecoms environment. You’ll operate in a hybrid setup and shape data products that enable AI readiness and automation, contributing to a connected nation.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and optimize ND&I data pipelines and transformation layers for performance and resilience
• Align data engineering work with architectural direction and future-state patterns
• Own and manage the engineering and analytics backlog, prioritizing by value and dependencies
• Oversee dashboards, analytics products and data models for accuracy and alignment with business metrics
• Ensure pipeline health, resolve data issues and meet SLAs for critical data products
• Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team of Data Engineers and Data Analysts
• Embed data quality controls, metadata and lineage in engineering workflows with Data Governance & Quality Lead
• Collaborate with operational, tooling and transformation teams to translate requirements into work packages
• Ensure data solutions support analytics, automation and AI readiness with clean, governed datasets
• Manage technical debt and promote automation across data practices

Key requirements

• Experience leading data engineering and analytics delivery in complex/operational environments
• Strong knowledge of modern data architectures, ETL/ELT, orchestration, cloud platforms and APIs
• Proven track record delivering dashboards, analytics and operational reporting
• Ability to manage backlogs and balance priorities against business needs
• Strong problem-solving skills in pipeline reliability and data issue resolution
• Experience embedding governance and lineage controls in engineering workflows
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and cross-functional communication skills
• Experience in telecoms, engineering or infrastructure-heavy settings is advantageous
