Renewables (CPPA) Originator – Leeds

Overview

In this role you will originate, structure and close Corporate PPA and Biomethane Purchase Agreements for large UK customers, driving ENGIE’s decarbonisation agenda. You will lead multi-million-pound negotiations with senior stakeholders and collaborate across Trading, Risk, Legal, Finance and Supply. You will act as a trusted adviser on Net Zero, ESG and Scope 2 strategies, and shape innovative commercial solutions that align customer sustainability objectives with ENGIE’s value. This senior role offers commercial ownership, industry visibility and meaningful impact on the energy transition.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute ENGIE’s Corporate PPA origination strategy with a high-quality pipeline
• Lead complex negotiations from initial engagement to contract execution for multi-million-pound deals
• Advise clients on how Corporate PPAs fit within Net Zero, ESG and Scope 2 strategies
• Structure innovative commercial solutions meeting sustainability objectives and delivering value
• Collaborate with Trading, Risk, Legal, Finance and Supply to ensure robust, compliant agreements
• Represent ENGIE at industry events to strengthen market reputation
• Mentor sales team members and contribute to renewable energy product development

Key requirements

• Proven experience in renewable energy origination, energy supply sales or structured energy transactions
• Strong knowledge of Corporate PPA structures, UK electricity markets and renewable mechanisms (REGOs, CfDs, ROCs)
• Proven ability to negotiate and close complex, long-term commercial contracts
• Experience engaging large industrial and commercial energy consumers and supporting decarbonisation objectives
• Strong financial modelling skills and risk assessment
• Excellent communication and influencing skills with senior stakeholders
• A degree in a relevant discipline, or equivalent professional experience, is preferred
