Overview

In this role you will shape the knowledge strategy for a leading international law firm, focusing on Trusts and Private Wealth. You will sit in the knowledge function, helping to develop knowhow resources and support technical legal work. You’ll monitor legal developments and communicate updates to fee earners, while building and maintaining precedents and knowledge platforms. You will design and deliver training, contribute to thought leadership, and drive knowledge initiatives across the practice. This is a cross-jurisdictional, impact-focused opportunity to advance legal innovation and knowledge sharing.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to legal research and technical queries from fee earners
  • Monitor legal and market developments and communicate updates to lawyers
  • Support lawyers in staying current with changes in legislation, regulation, and market practice
  • Create, maintain, and enhance precedents, templates, and knowhow materials
  • Manage and improve access to knowledge resources across the practice
  • Encourage engagement with and contribution to the firm’s knowledge systems
  • Design and deliver legal and knowledge-based training programmes
  • Identify training needs with partners and stakeholders
  • Support ongoing professional development initiatives across the practice
  • Contribute to client alerts, legal updates, and thought leadership content
  • Collaborate with partners and business services teams on topics and opportunities
  • Support knowledge management projects including document automation and knowledge platform development

Key requirements

  • Qualified lawyer in a recognised common law jurisdiction
  • Minimum 5 years’ post-qualification experience
  • Strong background in Trusts, Private Wealth, or related practice areas
  • Excellent legal drafting, research, and technical analysis skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Previous PSL or knowledge management experience is advantageous but not essential
