In this role you will handle a varied property disputes caseload within a respected disputes team in Bristol. You will support commercial clients, landlords and tenants, driving matters from drafting through negotiation to court proceedings. Responsibilities

  • Manage property-related disputes including landlord and tenant issues, forfeiture, arrears, dilapidations and possession matters
  • Handle boundary, rights of way, easement and restrictive covenant disputes
  • Oversee title and ownership-related claims and professional negligence matters in property context
  • Advise commercial clients, landlords, tenants and managing agents across sectors
  • Draft pleadings, applications, witness statements and correspondence
  • Progress matters through negotiation, ADR and court proceedings
  • Liaise with clients, counsel, expert witnesses and other professionals
  • Support wider Commercial Disputes work when needed
  • Contribute to business development and client relationship activities

Key requirements

  • 3+ years PQE in Property Litigation (or strong Commercial Disputes with transferable skills)
  • Strong technical knowledge of contentious real estate matters
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation and advocacy skills
  • Ability to manage matters independently with appropriate supervision
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication and collaborative mindset
  • Proactive, client-focused approach with ability to manage multiple matters
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal IT systems
