Audiology Clinical Lead

Overview

Experienced clinician as a Band 7 Clinical Lead in adult audiology, focusing on delivering high-quality care and leading service development across East Sussex. You will be part of the audiology senior leadership, driving evidence-based practice, audits, and changes to improve patient outcomes. You’ll support capacity planning, risk and equipment management, and cross-site collaboration, while aiming to maintain UKAS IQIPs accreditation. This role blends clinical leadership with operational management in a dynamic NHS service.

Responsibilities

• Clinical leadership and operational leadership within the audiology service
• Manage activity reporting and optimise clinical capacity
• Oversee risk management and equipment management
• Design and maintain rotas; staff scheduling
• Lead audit and service evaluation, implement action plans
• Drive IQIPs accreditation processes for adult services
• Provide line management and staff performance management
• Support students and manage complaints
• Stock management and stakeholder engagement (GPs and voluntary sector)

Key requirements

• HCPC or AHCS registration
• MSc in Audiology or BAAT 1&2 with equivalent MSc level training
• 3 years post-graduate clinical experience
• Experience in complex adult audiology; delivering audits and action plans; service development; leading individuals
