Senior Software Engineer, Payments & Incentives

Overview

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Payments & Incentives team, you will help build and refine the financial engine powering Quantcast’s ad-tech platform. You’ll design robust microservices and APIs to enable payments, incentives, and billing, while aligning with cross-functional partners to ensure reliability and business impact. You will drive unified financial reporting and streamlined billing workflows at scale, improving invoice visibility for revenue operations. Responsibilities

• Drive initiatives for unified financial reporting and process consolidation with reliable, observable systems
• Design and implement robust microservices and APIs for payments, incentives, and billing
• Collaborate with internal customers, product owners, and stakeholders to align on requirements and dependencies
• Mentor peers and junior engineers through feedback on code and design
• Lead resolution of on-call incidents and implement improvements for system health and financial integrity

Key requirements

• 2+ years building and maintaining complex distributed systems, with microservices focus
• Degree in Computer Science or adjacent field (or equivalent experience)
• Proficiency in Go and Python or similar modern languages
• Experience designing APIs and microservices in a high-velocity production environment
• Strong understanding of observability and SDLC in an Agile setting
• Ability to communicate complex technical updates clearly to diverse stakeholders
• Ability to work across teams and with third parties to remove dependencies
• Familiarity with cloud tech (AWS), messaging systems (Kafka, SQS), or data warehouses (Snowflake) is a plus
