Your new role
As Finance Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and efficient financial responsibilities will include:
- Leading and developing the finance team
- Preparing and reviewing VAT returns and ensuring statutory compliance
- Managing CIS administration and HMRC submissions
- Overseeing bank reconciliations and cash management activities
- Managing supplier rebate calculations and claims
- Supporting financial controls, reporting, and process improvements
- Acting as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
- Supporting wider business administration activities and operational projects
- Driving continuous improvement across finance processes and controls
What you’ll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will have previous experience in a finance supervisory or management position and possess strong technical accounting will demonstrate:
- Experience managing or supervising a finance team
- Strong understanding of financial controls and accounting principles
- Experience preparing VAT returns and bank reconciliations
- Knowledge of CIS administration would be highly advantageous
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and accounting software skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- A proactive, hands-on approach and a desire to drive improvements
