Job Description:

We are currently recruiting for a Health & Safety Assistant to join a growing organisation and develop their career within Health & Safety.

Working closely with the Health & Safety Manager, you will support the delivery of health and safety across multiple sites, helping to promote a strong and proactive safety culture. The Role

  • Support the development and promotion of a positive health and safety culture across multiple sites.
  • Carry out site audits and assessments, identifying concerns and reporting them to the Health & Safety Manager.
  • Deliver toolbox talks and assist with communicating health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Monitor PPE compliance and maintain accurate records.
  • Assist with reducing workplace accidents, injuries and occupational health risks.
  • Complete and review risk assessments, ensuring appropriate control measures are implemented.
  • Maintain COSHH records and ensure relevant information, instruction and training is provided to employees.
  • Maintain the non-compliance register and ensure actions are followed through.
  • Assist with accident investigations and contribute to preventative measures.
  • Support fire safety procedures, including fire drills and alarm testing.
  • Contribute to ongoing health and safety and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide general support to the Health & Safety function as required.

About You

Essential:

  • Previous experience in a similar Health & Safety role.
  • Full driving licence and access to your own vehicle, as this is a multi-site position.

Desirable:

  • Experience within a similar industry or operational environment.
