We are currently receruiting on behalf of our client who are looking for a Purchasing Officer for a 12 month contract

About You
- 5 GCSE’s or equivalent in Grade A-C (to include English and Maths) – essential
- IT literate, proficient in MS Office.
- General supply chain experience.
- Previous experience within a manufacturing/materials environment.
- Buying / Negotiating Experience.
- Stock management knowledge.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- High level of initiative and self-motivation.
- Problem solving skills.
- Attention to detail.
Desirable Criteria:
- Level 3 qualification (e.g.2 A Level Grades A-C, NVQ).
- Level 3 certificate in Customs Compliance – CIPS.
- International-trade related knowledge.
- Experience of using Sage ERP.
What you’ll do
- Working on RFQs for over 10K projects.
- Support internally with adhoc pricing enquires.
- Internal customer support for all depts., sourcing products or services as required.
- Management of Brexit implications.
- Manage services such as cleaning, energy, vending machines, gases and laundry.
- Working with QA on Supplier Relations.
- Working with on site team to achieve best possible prices on MRO goods.
- Support the local council in set up and trials of Buy Supply NI Portal.
- General departmental duties including the receipt of Aluminium and BOM.
