The Role
Working closely with the Nurse Manager, youll play a key role in leading the nursing team and maintaining the highest standards of care.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting and leading the nursing team on a day-to-day basis
- Providing clinical guidance, mentorship and support to nursing staff
- Helping maintain excellent standards of care, compliance and clinical governance
- Completing audits and supporting health & safety and regulatory requirements
- Contributing to effective care planning and person-centred care
- Supporting staffing, rota management and team training
- Building strong relationships with residents, relatives and healthcare professionals
- Supporting the Nurse Manager with the smooth running of the service
- Taking responsibility for the service in the Nurse Managers absence when required
What were looking for
Youll be a Registered Nurse with an active NMC PIN and ideally have:
- At least 2 years senior nursing experience
- Experience within a care home or similar healthcare environment
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent organisational and decision-making abilities
- The confidence to balance clinical responsibilities with management duties
- A genuine passion for delivering compassionate, high-quality, person-centred care
