We are recruiting on behalf of one of our employer partners in Chesterfield for a motivated and enthusiastic Network Engineer Level 4 Apprentice.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience within a professional IT environment while working towards a nationally recognised Level 4 Network Engineer qualification. You’ll develop technical expertise, work alongside experienced IT professionals, and build the skills needed for a successful career in networking and infrastructure.
The Role:
As a Network Engineer Apprentice, you’ll play a key role in supporting and maintaining the organisation’s IT infrastructure. You’ll gain exposure to a range of networking technologies and support the delivery of reliable and secure IT services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network infrastructure.
- Supporting the monitoring and performance of network systems.
- Troubleshooting network, connectivity, and hardware issues.
- Assisting with the implementation of network security measures.
- Supporting user access management and system administration activities.
- Helping maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networks.
- Recording, tracking, and resolving IT support tickets.
- Assisting with network upgrades, projects, and documentation.
- Working with internal teams and third-party suppliers to resolve technical issues.
- Ensuring IT systems comply with security and operational standards.
