Our client has highlighted it’s essential the Data Engineer has the mindset to want to invest, develop and whom consistently priorisitises security. You’ll be joining a multi-skilled IT Team and working on site with a further 450 staff members. Within the role you will lead the design, development, maintenance, and optimisation of their databases, ensuring it remains secure, scalable, and fit for the future. As part of the role, you will be supported by the Head of IT.

Design, maintain, and optimise the systems and database infrastructureWorking closely with a 3rd party database design consultantBuild and manage ETL processes and system integrationsMonitor database performance, security, and data integrityConsolidate or build data flowsEnsure compliance with data governance and GDPR requirementsConducting diagnostics testsCollaborate with IT teams and third-party providers on database solutionsProvide technical guidance and support on database technologies The ideal candidate for this Data Engineer vacancy will have the following attributes and exposure:
Previous xwwtmva career exposure as a Data Engineer is essentialStrong experience with SQL Server, MySQL, or similar relational databasesExperience building and maintaining ETL processes and data integrationsKnowledge of database performance tuning, security, and backup proceduresUnderstanding of data governance, GDPR, and data management best practicesExperience working with APIs and integrating multiple business systemsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detailAble to work independently while collaborating effectively with technical and non-technical teamsExperience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS would be advantageous…
