Priory HospitalWoodbourne has an opportunity for a Principal Psychologist to joinour team. This is a part-time role working 30 hours per week, andthe pro-rata salary is £46,600 per annum

What you'll bedoing
Our diverse and specialisedrange of services offers the opportunity to develop your skills andgain experience working with a wide spectrum of mental healthconditions across five distinct service lines within the hospital.You will play a key part in patient recovery, supporting theassessment and delivery of tailored treatment plans while ensuringdignity, respect, and high standards ofcare.
You will also:
- Lead psychological care for designated wards/patients,including assessment, intervention, andevaluation.
- Work autonomously withinprofessional and service guidelines.
- Supervise and support psychology staff, trainees, andstudents.
- Provide consultation,reflective practice, and staff training.
- Contribute to multidisciplinary reviews, riskassessments, and patient care planning.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and manageadministrative responsibilities.
- Supportservice development, audits, research, and evidence-basedpractice.
- Oversee referrals, waitinglists, KPIs, and governance of psychologicalpractice.
- Build effective relationshipswith patients, carers, staff, and externalagencies.
- Maintain CPD, supervision, andcompliance with Health & Safety and Mental Health Actrequirements.

What you'll bring tothe role
Essential
Applicants must hold a completed andrecognised postgraduate qualification leading to HCPC registrationand must be currently registered with the HCPC as a Psychologist.Applicants must also have formal training in at least twotherapeutic modalities and have demonstrated relevantpost-qualification experience and competencies appropriate to aPrincipal Psychologist role. Newly qualifiedpsychologists or those not yet HCPC registered would not beeligible for this position.
