Garment Technologist

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Garment Technologist to join a highly successful fashion company, working across a diverse multiproduct range covering menswear, womenswear and childrenswear.

Responsibilities of the Garment Technologist:

• Take ownership of the technical development process across menswear, womenswear and childrenswear product
• Measure and grade samples, assessing fit, construction and overall quality.
• Attend fit sessions and provide clear, accurate and commercially appropriate fit comments.
• Create, maintain, and update detailed tech packs and ensure technical information is communicated clearly to overseas factories.
• Liaise closely with suppliers and factories throughout the development and production process.
• Manage sample processing and ensure all critical path dates are achieved.
• Review and approve samples throughout the development process, ensuring product meets required fit, quality and construction standards.
• Regularly review and update test reports in line with agreed standards and customer requirements
• Review final production samples and ensure they meet approved specifications and quality expectations.
• Work collaboratively with Design, Buying, Product Development and suppliers to resolve technical issues and deliver product on time.
• Identify potential technical and quality issues early in the process and work proactively to find solutions.

Additional Information

The successful candidate will have previous experience working as a Garment Technologist, ideally with exposure to multiple product categories and a broad understanding of menswear, womenswear and childrenswear.
